    Description

(c.1628) Mexico City 8 Reales Cob Lucayan Beach PIRATE TREASURE from Peter Heim admiral of Denmark’s navy at that time. This is a very rare item.
There is an extremely limited supply of these cobs. Most of the cobs have been melted down by the governments that received them and the few that are left are already in private hands.
At present the estate of the head diver who found the wreck in 1964 was sold to a colleague of mine. Significant number of supported
documentation from the 1960s came with the estate to validate the coins authenticity. NGC is slabbing these coin. The coins in total were appraised in the 60s. No appraisals have been done since to my knowledge. ANA and PCGS were also notified and the documentation was sent to them as well. A very limited amount of coins exist and are on the market.
